13 Years Later “House of Style” Returns to MTV

Between 1989 and 1999, the TV Show “House of Style” was one of MTV’s biggest hits. It was a show, hosted by Cindy Crawford, Rebecca Romijn and Molly Slims, which gave a behind the scene look at the fashion industry. The show featured interviews with fashion models, as well as fashion designers from around the world, and followed them as they travelled around the world to participate in a variety of high profile fashion shows.

The show also focused on the synergy between fashion and music, and the relationship between the two industries. Over the years, it has become clear that fashion and music go hand in hand, with many designers breaking into the high profile fashion scene as result of a celebrity wearing their styles.

To celebrate the return of the show to MTV, the network will be airing some of the best moments from the original show. In total there were 78 episodes, and MTV plans to air approximately 150 clips from the original show. Furthermore, on Tuesday August 7th, MTV will be airing a documentary titled “House of Style: Music, Models and MTV.” The hope is that the documentary will spark interest in the upcoming return of the show.

If you’re wondering who will be hosting the upcoming show, you’ll have to wait. MTV has stated that they plan to announce the host of the show at the 2012 MTV Video Music awards on September 6th.
