Prince Harry Deployed to Afghanistan

After Prince William and Kate Middleton wed in a very publicized event, not only have their royal lives come into media attention but their entire family as well. There’s just something about seeing a modern day Queen and her family in a world largely devoid of monarchs. And what a Queen she is living quite a luxirous and proper life with the same being said about her family. Of course, that was until recently.

Tabloids went wild after Prince Harry made his way to Las Vegas for a party. Of course, the party itself wasn’t the problem but the fact that naked pictures of Harry made their rounds and have since appeared just about everywhere. However, lucky for Harry, he hasn’t let the debaucle get him down. In fact, it’s just recently been announced that he’s being deployed to Afghanistan and that the infamous Las Vegas trip was actaully a predeployment vacation.

At first blush it may seem quite strange that a member of the royal family would be deployed to Afghanistan on a military mission but it’s quite true. Apparently Harry has been quite the pilot over the years and will be working as an apache helicopter pilot for 4 months in Afghanistan. To throw even more wood on the fire, this isn’t the first time Harry’s been in Afghanistan. Our sources tell us that 4 years ago Harry was briefly deployed only to quickly return home after his safety was called into question.

While it’s definitely a bit strange to see Prince Harry shipped to war, it’s quite a warming thing to see. Despite having access to virtually anything he wants, sources have said that Prince Harry is to be treated like any other member of the military and is apparently a bit excited to go. But, we aren’t the only ones who are proud as Prince Charles recently went on record to express just how proud he is of his own son.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t get into any drunken debauchery while deployed!

New Couple: Taylor Swift and Patrick Schwarzenegger?

Over the past few years, Taylor Swift has been in a few relationships, including her most recent with John Mayor. That relationship ended and was publicized by Taylor’s song “Dear John,” which was said to have humiliated John Mayor when it was released. Now it seems that Taylor is moving on, and may have her eyes on Patrick Schwarzenegger.

This July 4th weekend, Taylor Swift spent the holiday with the Kennedy family, during which she spent the majority of her time with Patrick. While Taylor’s close friends have said that she has a close relationship with the whole family, Taylor hasn’t denied that she may be seeing Patrick. When asked about Schwarzenegger, she didn’t provide any definitive information, however she did state that “he’s cute.”

According to the latest celeb gossip, Patrick and Taylor spent most of the weekend flirting with each other, spending most of their time away from the others at the party. Shortly after having photos taken together, Patrick tweeted that this was the best 4th of July weekend ever.

While its hard to say whether or not the two will start seeing each other officially, its clear that they have a crush on each other. As soon as we find out more, here at Celebrity Daily, we’ll let you know!

Katie Holmes Files for Divorce From Tom Cruise & Seeks Sole Custody

Tom Cruise, like many other celebrities, has been in the spotlight for quite some time due to his out of the ordinary beliefs. Those beliefs, of course, lie within the Church of Scientology which Tom Cruise has pledged his allegiance to. His significant other, Katie Holmes, also embraced the religion after the two started dating but it seems things have finally started to unravel.

In fact, things have apparently gotten so rocky that Katie Holmes took it upon herself to file for divorce from Cruise, much to the actor’s dismay and surprise. According to reports, this came after several weeks of the couple spending their time apart after internal controversy arose. What exactly sparked this controversy, you ask? Scientology, of course.

According to these same reports Holmes (raised a Roman Catholic) has had enough of the religion and is afraid Tom Cruise will too heavily push it upon herself and their child, Suri. These actions apparently didn’t go unnoticed within the Church itself either. Additional reports have suggested that Holmes feels she is now being tailed by Scientologist representatives who feel she is now a threat to the religion as a whole. These claims were supported by supposed pictures of a white Cadillac Escalade and black Mercedes that have been seen outside of her New York apartment.

In terms of the actual divorce “irreconcilable differences” were cited and, get this, Holmes is seeking sole residential custody. New York, her filing location of choice, has become known to award a single parent sole custody so if Holmes can prove that she is a more fit parent than Cruise, her wish may easily be granted.

Finally, it’s also said that Holmes will be seeking substantial child support from the A-Class actor but no exact figures were stated. We’ll keep an eye on this as the story unfolds and let you know of any more exciting moves made by either party. Stay tuned!

Madonna’s Mansion For Sale. Price: $18 Million

Got your checkbooks ready? Good, because you’re going to need them. Word has just hit the streets that the Queen of Pop has put her Hollywood mansion up for sale. That’s right, potentially one of the only chances we’ll ever have of living in Madonna’s house has just cropped up. For those of you who aren’t aware who Madonna is you’re going to need to crawl out from under that rock you’ve been living under and listen up.

Not only has Madonna more or less become universally known but she’s managed to sell 300 million records worldwide accruing the Guinness World Record of the world’s top-selling female recording artist along the way. Past that, in her short 53 years on earth, Madonna has launched several successful business ventures, appeared in several different motion pictures and has been deemed a philanthropist to boot. In other words, this diva ain’t nobody to mess with.

The Hollywood mansion she recently put up for sale isn’t a joke either amassing a noteworthy 6,458 square feet, 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Add to that exposed beams, elegant dark hardwood floors and a master bathroom fit for a king (or queen, in this case) and it’s easy to see why Madonna felt right to call it home.

As if its architectural stats weren’t enough to make you drool, the mansion, which was built in 1926, was featured in a 1999 issue of the prestigious Architectural Digest where it was highlighted in all of its beauty. Not only that, but both Betty Grable and Diane Keaton (who also appeared in the above mentioned Architectural Digest issue) once called the mansion home.

Of course, now that you’ve heard just how amazing this mansion is, you’re probably wondering how much it costs. Well, unfortunately, unless you’re a hedge fund manager or just recently won Mega Millions it may be a bit over budget. According to reports, Madonna’s 6,458 square foot mansion has been put up for sale with an asking price of $18.4 million. Any takers?

Charlie Sheen, Still Strong and Winning

While many expect Charlie Sheen to be wallowing in pride and continued irrational behavior, Charlie is not down and out yet. He has a new show upcoming on FX, a Fox network cable channel. It promises to feature the same kind of funny, self-deprecating humor that was exhibited and so well appreciated on Two and a Half Men.

In the new show, Anger Management, loosely based on the Adam Sandler movie with Jack Nicholson, Charlie plays an ex-baseball player who had anger management issues himself, which forced him into early retirement. Subsequently, he went back to school and emerged as an anger management therapist. Whether the show is a success or a failure, Charlie says it will be his last.

It seems that Charlie will once again play himself, basically. One can only hope so. Charlie is a funny, charming guy with real issues, issues that many people can relate to. Charlie is only human, and his true fans recognize that his character reflected the similarities to his real-life personality. In addition, Charlie was always willing to admit his faults including his real-life meltdown.

Yes, Charlie does realize and admit that his erratic behavior was damaging. However, it was only damaging to himself and his career. His re-emergence onto TV is a reflection of the industry’s recognition of Charlie’s inherent comedic talents and strong fan base. After all, partying with hookers is not the worst thing a public figure has done while still maintaining their standing; just ask ex-Washington Mayor Marion Barry, Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty and a host of other actors, singers and politicians.

In his interview with Access Hollywood, Charlie admitted he “can be a complete screw up”, but thinks that he can and should be forgiven. He has decided to move on and learn from it all. However, he also commented that some people have said that they’re bored with his “learning from it.” Fans want him to move on and be Charlie, the loveable, charming scamp his characters and personality exemplify.

As to his 21-date ‘Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour’, he admits that was a misguided venture. When asked what he learned subsequent to his Two and a Half cancellation, Charlie said the lesson was “…stick to what you know…” He also conceded that booking a 21-city tour with no act is not the way to go.

If there is one thing everybody knows about Hollywood and TV, it is that the bad boy image and excessive behavior are not deal breakers. The ability to get back on your feet and deliver what the audience wants is the important thing. It remains to be seen whether Charlie can pull it off, but the bets are in that Charlie will have no problem bringing his talents and charm to the table once again.
