Lady Gaga Ignored At MTV Video Music Awards

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, popularly known as Lady Gaga has been snubbed at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. This might come as a rude shock to the American pop star and her fans but that’s the painful reality. On the other side, Rihanna and Drake appear to have the largest share of the total nominations. The two who were once rumored to be dating have been nominated for various video categories.

 Rihanna’s nominations include;

 Video Of The Year
Best Female Video
Best Choreography
Best Pop Video
Best Visual Effects.

Drake’s nominations include;

Best Hip-Hop Video
Best Male Video
Best Cinematography
Best Art Direction

 This year’s MTV Video Music Awards promise to be entertaining considering the fact that Drake will be hoping to win the Best Male Video category against his rival Chris Brown who is also seeking the same award. The two superstars had a grisly fight last month in a club where Chris Brown earned himself a deep wound along his chin. According to eye witnesses, trouble started when Drake’s supporters started a war of words with Chris Brown over his relationship with her ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. Chris did not take it lightly and within minutes, the bar brawl ensued as the two warring parties confronted each other with kicks and blows.

In the same nominations, Katy Perry comes third as she hopes to win four accolades. Coldplay, Beyonce, M.I.A and Frank Ocean have been nominated for three categories. In other news, the venue for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards has already been confirmed. According to the event organizers, the ceremony will be held at the Staples Center on September 6th.
