Lil Wayne To Quit Rap

American Hip -Hop star Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, popularly known as Lil Wayne is set to quit rap. The rap icon made this shocking revelation during an interview with Atlanta-based HOT 107.9 Radio. During the interview, Lil Wayne explained, “I started skateboarding as a hobby but with time, I realized it’s my lifestyle.”

Rumor has it that the famous album, The Carter IV, will be his last, before he ventures into skateboarding as his new career and sport. “I think my fans need some peace from me,” he added during the interview.

The renowned Young Money CEO has also declared his plans to settle with his family and play his role as a dad. During the interview, the award-winning rap-star said, “I have four kids and it’ll be unfair for me to spend my whole life in the studio.” Asked about the fate of Young Money rap group, Wayne said that he is also planning to retire as the CEO when he’s around 35. He claims that he needs more time as a father to his four kids and even if it means quitting rap, it is okay with him.

“I just want to be a dad, a full time dad in fact,” he added. Lil Wayne also revealed his wish to own a sports team in future. He confessed his love for sports and how he wishes to own a team, whether it be basketball or baseball. The news has been received with mixed reactions with most of his fans insisting that Wayne has more to offer in his music career than skateboarding.
