Amy Winehouse was found dead on Saturday July 23rd, 2011 in her bed at her home in Camden, for the past couple of days family, friends and fans have pay tribute, today she has been put to rest, Have a look at Amy Winehouse’s funeral pictures and how her family and friends said goodbye.

Amy Winehouse’s funeral was held on Tuesday July 26th three days after her tragic death and a weeks before the results from her toxicology results comes out. It was during lunchtime that about 150 guest arrived at Edgwarebury Cemetery in north London where between tears and smiles her family and friends said their last goodbye, tears from the daughter, sister, niece, friend, love, mentor they would never see again and laughter for the memory of all of those moments they spend together, that will never fade away.

The ceremony conducted by Rabbi Frank Hellmer began with prayers then her father Mitch talked about some of Amy’s childhood memories, but he also said some great things about the people around his daughter. Janis her mother didn’t talk but she look serene. Music was played in the background all of Amy’s favorite including So Far Away by Carole King.

He best friends like Kelly Osborne, Remi Nicole were in tears, Mark Robson, her DJ and producer friend was there to pay his respects, so was her protégé Dionne Bromfield, Nick Grimshaw, manager Raye Cosbert, Brian Adams and her band mates. Mitch close his speech with a heartbreaking words..

“Goodnight my angel. Sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much.”

After the service people gather at the Golders Green Crematorium in north London (cremation is a tradition in her family), after starting today at 5:00 p.m at the Schilder Hall in Southgate Progressive Hall the Shiva will take place for two days, Shiva is also known as the bereavement ceremony part of the Jewish tradition. Her parents also planned to mixed her ashes with those of her dear grandmother Cynthia, who died of lung cancer 5 years ago.
