Young Money Artist Tyga Sued by Landlord
Now that Lil’ Wayne has effectively secured his success for years to come, he’s been focusing on betting the careers of his artists signed to Young Money Entertainment (a subsidiary record label of Cash Money Records). So far, things have been going great as several of his artists such as Nicki Minaj and Drake have already launched lucrative careers. Even Tyga, someone who was pushed a bit to the side early on has found his own success. However, it seems that things may not be as peachy for Tyga as many of us have thought.
If you’re not familiar with Tyga, he’s signed to the above mentioned Young Money Entertainment and has put out several highly successful singles. Following the release of these singles, Tyga came forth with his debut studio album entitled Careless World: Rise of the Last King. Debuting at number 4 on the Billboard 200 with 61,000 copies sold in the first week, it’s easy to see that Tyga is an up and coming star. Sure, he’s not yet as successful as Nicki Minaj, Drake or Lil’ Wayne, but it’s definitely a start. A start that we would assume would net Tyga a considerable chunk of change.
But, it seems that chunk of change isn’t as big as we would have imagined or perhaps Tyga is simply a very careless person. The reason we say that is because it’s just been made known that his landlord (a man by the name of Gholamreza Rezai) has filed a lawsuit against the rapper. According to the allegations, Tyga has failed to pay his rent (a massive $16,000 per month) for the past couple of months. To make matters worth, after failing to pay he told Tyga that he was to leave the premises by September 30th. Now, it’s well into October and reports suggest that Tyga is still living there. Why exactly Tyga, a rapper who seems to be doing extremely well, can’t come up with $16,000 per month to pay his rent is beyond us. What we do know, over, is that Rezai is looking to secure past rent, damages and is looking to evict Tyga from the premises.
