Adele To Perform At The Olympics Closing Ceremony

In the last two years, Adele has been regarded has the best musical export from Britain. Unconfirmed reports reveal that the Rolling In The Deep singer is set to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

According to organizers, the closing ceremony will be graced by some of the best musicians Britain has to offer; Adele being one of them. The organizers also expect a global viewership of over 900 million during the closing ceremony. However, the organizers did not reveal the top celebrities who will grace the show but according to the latest leaks, Adele, Muse, The Who and Madness are set to perform. Adele’s spokesman could not be reached for comments regarding the rumors. It is not clear if the Londoner will perform at the event, months after she revealed her pregnancy.

In other news, George Michael revealed on his twitter account that he will be performing at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony. He tweeted that he had a busy week ahead rehearsing for this event. According to the Daily Mail newspaper, the ceremony will highlight London’s major landmarks and sites such as the Clock Tower, London Eye and the Tower Bridge. Every country will be represented by their flag bearer who will enter the stadium together with fellow flag bearers from other countries. This is meant to portray international unity that is always emphasized by these games.
