Bristol Palin Anonymously Targeted, Again

Bristol Palin Anonymously Targeted, Again

When John McCain announced that Sarah Palin would be his running mate, many predicted that it would spell doom for his Presidental bid. While this may have been true, the whole thing effectively jettisoned Sarah Palin into the league of stardom. Of course, this fame most likely came due to her good looks and unintentionally comical quotes rather than her ability to act as a capable Vice President, but we’ll save that for another story.

While Sarah Palin has had her 15-minutes of fame thanks to her bid for Vice President and countless media appearances, it’s her 21-year-old daughter who has been in the spotlight quite a bit recently. Bristol Palin, who was heavily publicized for being a teen daughter during her mother’s bid, has appeared on Dancing With The Stars not once, but twice where the world was able to get an intimate look at the young mother.

Say what you will about her ability to dance but you would be hard pressed to find a legitimate reason behind wishing her harm no matter what pent up anger you may have. However, it seems that some unpleased critics have decided to anonymously take their hate to the next level. According to our sources, the producers of Dancing With The Stars recently receieved a threateneing letter accompanied by some white powder directed at Palin. Luckily, officials have said that the white powder is harmless and not some sort of biological weapon as these anonymous threats would want us to believe. But, this begs the question – who would do this, any why

We would be quick to assume that this is some overly critical person who doesn’t agree with Bristol’s lifestyle choices or her high paid speaking gigs. Regardless, this prank (or whatever it may be) is not being taken lightly and law enforcement officials are heavily investigating the matter.

On a side note, the producers have said that despite these threats they will not be asking Bristol to leave the show. Instead, that’s up to the viewers to decide, not some anonymous coward.
