J.K. Rowling to Release Adult Novel
Reading a book is one of the best ways to accrue knowledge. Some of the greatest people to ever walk the face of the earth have written books and attributed much of their knowledge to them. Of course, this isn’t a surprise at all considering entire educational curriclums utilize books as their main tool of teaching. However, once in a while comes a book or books that jettisons the author into stardom and unheard of riches. J.K. Rowling and her Harry Potter series is a perfect example of this. Not only did the series manage to sell millions upon millions of copies but it also made J.K. Rowling a billionaire.
Countless spin off products have been made from the Harry Potter series including additional books, toys and of course, the movies. Starring Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Rupert Grint as Ron and Emma Watson as Hermione, the 8 Harry Potter movies netted not only the producers and actors a massive chunk of change, but J.K. Rowling as well.
However, if you thought her massive success was enough to have her retiring, you thought wrong. It’s just been made known that J.K. Rowling is taking her first step out of the Harry Potter franchise in over a decade to release an adult novel called Vacancy. Unfortunately we’ve heard virtually nothing in terms of what Vacancy will be about but it seems that everyone is expecting it to be a success. Our sources tell us that to date over 2 million copies have been put on pre-order which is a clear indication that book sellers are looking forward to its release.
While we haven’t heard much about what it’s about, J.K. Rowling’s American publisher Michael Pietsch has went on record saying the book is to be great. He went on to say that the 512 page novel bares resemblance to something from Charles Dickens and will have “intensely real characters” filled with human and social concerns. We’re looking forward to Vacancy’s September 27th release, are you?
