Michael Clarke Duncan Dies of Heart Attack

A few months ago on July 13th,  we reported that Michael Clarke Duncan had suffered a heart attack. Unfortunately, today on September 3rd, 2012, Michael Clarke Duncan has died as a result of the previous cardiac arrest.

According to his publicist, Duncan died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. While the details are not entirely clear, it appears that Michael Clarke Duncan was never fully able to recover from the initial heart attack on July 13th. While it appeared at first that he would make a full recover, it later become evident that his recovery was not progressing. Today, nearly two months after first receiving treatment, he passed away.

Michael Clarke Duncan is best known as the star of the prison story “The Green Mile.” Originally from Chicago, the gentle giant started his career as a bodyguard for rapper “Notorious B.I.G”. Following his death, he transitioned into acting, where he has stared in a variety of films and television shows ever since. His first hollywood role came in 1998, along side Bruce Willis in the film “Armageddon”. Following his lead role in “The Green Mile,” Duncan appeared in TV’s “Chuck,” “Two and a Half Men” and “Bones.”

Michael Clarke Duncan leaves behind his girlfriend, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, whom he had been dating for two years. We wish the best to Michael Clarke Duncan’s family and friends.
