Vanessa Bryant Says She Only Dates Champions
If you were planning to date Vanessa Bryant once in your life, you have to cope with her terms and conditions. She had once expressed her wish to divorce her husband, Lakers top star, Kobe Bryant last December but one thing for sure is that she is so much in love with her life as a basketball player’s wife. During an interview with New York magazine, Vanessa said she cannot date a man who doesn’t have a championship trophy to show. The interview was mainly focused on the lavish lives of basketball player’s wives. She shockingly revealed that before she calls a man “husband” he has no choice but to be a champion.
“Certainly, I don’t think I can marry a man who can’t win a championship,” she said during the interview with Vanessa Grigoriadis. “If my man is spending time away from the family just to win a championship, then I expect that to happen every year,” she added.
Her recent comments were not received warmly by her Twitter followers. Most people had the impression that she is a gold digger. One follower tweeted: “She (Vanessa) claims that she can’t wed a man who cannot win championships. But surprisingly, her biggest achievement is high school.”
Luckily for her, his husband Kobe Bryant has won five championships and the most recent was in 2010. This is said to keep her happy at least for now. However, Kelly Dwyer from Yahoo! Sports had a different view about Vanessa’s comments. The sports contributor claimed that Vanessa had something meaningful to say considering the fact that she has two daughters to take care of. Her only mistake is that she was not careful when picking her words during the interview. This is according to Kelly Dwyer.
