Amanda Bynes Pleads Not Guilty
Those paying attention to the tabloids at pretty much anytime over the past couple of years will know of Lindsay Lohan and her legal troubles. It seems that when the starlet isn’t getting caught with drugs or driving under the influence, she’s getting caught doing something else – like shoplifting. But, for once in what seems like a long time, Lindsay Lohan isn’t the starlet who is finding herself in mounds of legal trouble.
This time it’s Amanda Bynes.
Who is Amanda Bynes, you ask Much like Lohan, Bynes is a child star who has gone on to become a relatively successful actress. She also just so happens to be in her mid twenties drawing even more comparisons to Lohan’s debauchery.
Unfortunately for Miss Bynes, 2012 seems to be the year where she gets her fair share of legal troubles. Already, we’ve chalked up a plethora of mishaps starting with the minor offense of talking on her cellphone while driving. However, things quickly escalated from there as Bynes was caught driving under the influence after sideswiping a police car and later being allegedly involved in not one, but two hit and runs. The first of such accidents happen on April 10th where Bynes allegedly fled the scene and another on August 4th when she again, fled the scene. Following these incidents, Bynes had her license suspended by the California DMV and later, her car impounded
Now, Bynes is facing a trial not only for both hit and runs but for the DUI as well. While details regarding the DUI are a bit slim as of now, it’s been announced today that she will be pleading not guilty to both hit and run charges. This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering she is facing quite a bit of jail time if found guilty. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
