Caroline Mesel is Joshua Komisarjevsky Girlfriend
Caroline Mesel the girl who was dating Joshua Komisarjevsky by the time he comitted the murders at Cheshire, Connecticut on July, 2007 talked about her ex-boyfriend
22 year-old Caroline Mesel is currently living in Arkansas, before that she was living in Connecticut where one day she met Joshua Komisarjevsky, by the time they met he was still in jail, Caroline said Joshua and one of her sisters were friends after they met at a church camp on 1993 .
If I am not wrong Caroline Mesel has two sister Claire and Jennette, Caroline said that after Komisarjevsky got out of jail, they started dating, their dates included going to the mall or hanging out at her or his house, he was still wearing an ankle bracelet. For Mesel she was in a serious relationship and hope her boyfriend felt the same way but when her family told her they were moving to Arkansas she was heart broken.
She told JK there was a chance she could stay with a family from church instead he persuaded her to move..
“If I’d known this was going to happen I’d have told her to go on her own,” she said.
“We were talking for a while and then we started dating after a couple of months. For me it was serious, I thought for him it was serious too. I thought I was in love,”
“We went to the mall a lot, or we’d just drive around and go to my house or his as he had to wear an ankle bracelet, I had the choice to stay in Connecticut with one of the church families. I told Josh and for some reason he insisted that I move,” she explained. “That’s when I first thought something was weird.”
“I thought if he liked me he’d have wanted me to stay…then after I moved he was trying to get me to come back. I think he was jealous though because the family had two sons and he didn’t want me being around them.”
But after she moved he was trying to get to move back, he told her he need $15.000 for that and he would robbed a bank if he need to.
When Caroline Mesel heard about what happened to the Petit family by the hands of her boyfriend and Hayes, she felt sick and guilty.
“I did go through that whole guilt thing, like this is my fault. Maybe if I was in Connecticut, they would still be alive today, because I could have probably prevented it.”
“Sometimes I think I could have prevented it. If I was there it may never have happened? I think eventually it would have happened anyway.”
Caroline also said she talked to him when he was in jail
Caroline Mesel went to Ellington High School, in Ellington, Connecticut graduating in 2007. She now lives in Rogers, Arkansas. Her father is a pastor and used to be a minister at a church in Ellington
