Lindsay Lohan Cleared over Burglary claims
Earlier this month, an investigation was launched into a theft that took place at the home of Sam Magid, an acquaintance of Lindsay Lohan. According to police, Lindsay Lohan was at the home with her assistant as well as one other man, during which time a number of items were stolen from the home.
Following the theft, police interviewed one of the two men (Lindsay’s Assistant) and were told that items were taken from the home, but he refused to say who took them. Furthermore, he rejected the charges that either he, or Lohan were involved in the crime.
Today the Los Angeles police announced that they would not be pursuing Lohan over the matter, citing a lack of evidence in proving that Lohan was involved. However, they have stated that the investigation remains open.
This isn’t the first time in recent history that Lindsay has been in trouble with the law. In September 2011, she pleaded no contest to the theft of a $2500 necklace. As a result of the case, she was sentenced to strict counselling and community service. If Lohan is charged with another crime, she will face jail time.
