Pam Roberts Is Ice Climber Jack Roberts Wife

Jack Roberts the legendary ice climber suffered a 60ft fall, but what took his life was a heart attack he suffered before paramedics could get to him. Jack is survived by his wife Pam Roberts.

58 year-old Jack Roberts was climbing with a friend at Bridal Veil Ice Falls east of Telluride in San Miguel County (Bridal veil is a 400-foot-high (150-meters) Grade 5 ice route Colorado’s top 5 biggest waterfalls, that Jack described as a climb of legendary stature and beauty and A Colorado and indeed an American classic).

At about 12:30p.m on Sunday Jack fell 60 feet, breaking his hip, he was stabilized by his partner but went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics did CPR on him for 40 minutes but he was gone.

‘The fellow he was with did the best he could. Mr Roberts was conscious for an hour or so, but his injuries were just too severe.’

Jack has a 41 year experience in the field, he was also a guide,writer, book author and instructor. In 1984 he moved to Boulder, Colorado where he met his beloved wife Pam, they reside in Boulder with Pisco their golden retriever.

Pam was in Cuba when the tragedy happened, she was notified. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her, her family, friends during this terrible time.
