Rory Bushfield is Freestyle Skier Sarah Burke Husband
Yesterday we found out that Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke was in critical condition after she suffered injuries after a training accident in the superpipe at Park City Mountain Resort Eagle superpipe in Park City, Utah. By her side are her family and husband pro skier Rory Bushfield.
28 year-old Sarah Burke from Canada won the first place at the 2001 US Freestyle Open , won the gold at the 2005 XGames in Aspen and again in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011. When you think of Sarah Burke you think about the gorgeous blonde freestyle skier, with the mist amazing blue eyes and sexy smile, but you can’t also help to think of her as the first woman ever to land a jump with 1080-degree rotation in competition, which only makes her hotter. Did I mention she was one of FHM 100 Sexiest women of 2006?
To find out about the terrible accident that occurred on Tuesday when onlookers sais Burke completed a trick when she fell onto her head. She was rushed to Salt Lake City hospital in a helicopter. She underwent surgery on Thursday to repair a tore artery (vertebral artery, located behind the neck it provides blood to the brain) that caused bleeding to the brain, she was put into a coma to reduce the swelling and pressure to the brain.
“With injuries of this type, we need to observe the course of her brain function before making definitive pronouncements about Sarah’s prognosis for recovery,” said Dr. William Couldwell, the neurosurgeon who performed the operation, in a statement released by Burke’s publicist. “Our neuro critical care team will be monitoring her condition and response continuously over the coming hours and days.”
Her husband Rory Bushfield who is by her bedside said…
“Sarah is a very strong young woman, and she will most certainly fight to recover,”

Rory Bushfield has been skiing since he was two; born in Balzac, Alberta in Canada on May 30th. 1983 (27). He now reside in Squamish, BC. Once part of the of Canadian Development Team for moguls. He placed 6th in slopestyle at the 2004 US Open. Some of his sponsors include Nordica, Sweet Helmets, Fresh, Whistler Blackcomb and Oakley. He loved to read book about aviation since he would like to be a pilot, but he also enjoys skating and surf. Rory and Sarah met when they were 15 at a ski camp, they reunited years later and began dating. Rory and his beautiful wife got married on September 25th, 2011 at Cedar View Estate in Pemberton, B.C.
