Adam Lambert to be judge on “American Idol”… probably not!

There has been a rumor circulating around the internet for the past few weeks, saying that a new judge on American Idol will be Adam Lambert. When fans heard this news, many were thrilled that their favourite singer might end up on the other side of the judges table. As it turns out, Adam Lambert is not currently in talks with the producers of American Idol to be a judge, however he has stated that he is thrilled at the idea.

On Monday, in an interview with a British radio station, Adam Lambert said that prior to today he had been unaware of the rumors that he was going to be a judge on next season of American Idol and referred to them as “beautiful rumors.” He stated that he has not been approached by the producers regarding this, and they are simply internet rumors that are circulating around, as rumors do. However, Adam has stated that if the producers of the show were to approach him regarding being a judge for the next season of Idol, he would jump at the chance.

Lambert stated that he has been a fan of American Idol ever since the first season, and that he owes his entire career to the show. If it wasn’t for the show, he never would have rose to stardom.

At this time, it is safe to say that the rumors surrounding this are simply that, rumors. However, the fact that Adam Lambert has stated that he would love to be a judge on the next season of the show, opens up the possibility that he will be approached by the producers to do so. Due to his fame, and experience in the music industry, we think Lambert would be an excellent choice for a judge, and would probably do better than some of the dismal selections that Idol has made in the past.
