Giuliana Rancic expecting Baby Boy
E! News editor and anchor Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill have very recently shared some exciting baby news. On Sunday, the Style Network stars announced that they now know the sex of their child and are expecting a baby boy. The announcement was made during their baby shower in Los Angeles. It was fitting that this announcement comes on Father’s Day, as father-to-be Bill enthusiastically declared that both he and Giuliana are thrilled to be having a son.
The couple has struggled for some time to have a child of their own. The Rancics have been married since 2007 and since then have endured much heartbreak while attempting to have a child. The couple publically underwent unsuccessful IVF treatments and a miscarriage on their reality TV show, “Giuliana and Bill.” After years of trying to become pregnant, their fertility plans were put on hold when Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Last April, Giuliana stated publicly that her hopes had been realized, and the couple announced that they were having a baby via surrogate. Their decision to have the baby through a surrogate means that the child will be genetically theirs but will be carried to term by another woman. Giuliana could not attempt to carry the child herself because of the effects of her cancer medication. This public announcement came only a few months after Giuliana went through a double mastectomy as part of her treatment.
The couple is expecting Baby Boy Rancic to make his appearance later this summer. On Sunday, Giuliana was in good spirits as she tweeted thanks to friends who helped her with her hair and makeup for her baby shower. Those who want to continue to follow the Rancic’s baby story can tune into “Giuliana & Bill” on Sunday evenings. Fans of Guiliana’s can continue to watch for her on the E! Network in several shows. She has recently signed a contract with E! to continue working for the network until 2015 as a host for E! News. Guiliana is also well-known for her work as a co-host on “Fashion Police.”
