Kanye West to Join American Idol?

Kanye West to Join American Idol?

To date we’ve had so many rumors regarding new American Idol judges that it’s quite hard to keep track of all of them. We’ve heard that Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj were all looking to become Idol judges. Now, we’ve heard that Mariah Carey is officially becoming a judge for the show and that Nicki Minaj is looking very likely. Snoop Dogg is generally assumed to not be making the appearance.

However, it seems that we may have another superstar joining the cast, if rumors are to be believed. Kanye West, who has been making headlines for his relationship with Kim Kardashian, is next in line. Much like the rumors of Nicki Minaj, there is quite a bit of steam behind this with our sources telling us that its’ very likely to happen. Of course, no one has stepped forward to confirm these rumors just yet. But, would the producers really go for this?

It’s no secret that such a star studded line up would prove itself to be extremely beneficial for American Idol. However, we’ve recently heard that Mariah Carey is looking to net $18 million dollars for her appearance on the show. Mariah Carey, while extremely famous, hasn’t been apepraing in headlines as much as Kanye West as of late. Due to this, it’s theorized that Kanye would actually be looking to net MORE than Mariah! Nicki Minaj is another story as we’ve hard virtually nothing in terms of what she’s looking to gain from joining the cast. Add to that rumors that we may have yet ANOTHER judge join the cast which is sure the hurt the producer’s wallets even more. Who is rumored to be that person? We haven’t a clue just yet but there have been some whispers that Jay-Z may be looking to join Kanye.
