The Simpsons Returns for 24th Season

The Simpsons Returns for 24th Season

The Simpsons returned to Fox for its 24th season on Sunday night, continuing its legacy of being the longest running sitcom, as well as longest running animated program on TV. While the previews for the season included a 90 second promo with Homer casting his ballot in the 2012 election, the scene was not part of the new episode.

The main plot of the new Simpsons episode began with Bart revisiting his past relationships and wondering why they were all failures. This led to the family going on a vacation to New York city to help Bart find the one girl that truly loved him, the daughter of Cletus.

Overall the episode received a total of 8.08 million viewers, making it the most watched show of the evening for Fox, however the ratings were down slightly from last year’s season premier.

Here at Celebrity Daily, we love the Simpsons and are glad that it is once again part of Fox’s lineup.
